School Tours at Fiato's Orchard

Dear Teacher:

As you plan your activities for the new school year, we hope you will consider Fiato’s family run Apple Orchard as your destination. We offer the best in Southern Tier apple orchards and apple education - fresh apples to pick in an environmentally safe way, a scenic hay ride around our 20 acre farm, young farm animals to view in our animal farm, and use of our picnic pavilion. Our orchard is safe and easily accessible, park and walk to our many attractions.

Our apple orchard tours are targeted for pre-school through 3rd grade children. To download a teachers kit go to www.nyapplecountry.com for fun activities. We offer the following package with an age appropriate explanation of our farming techniques.

APPLE TRIP:

• Each child can pick TWO apples in bag provided by us
• Hay ride around the farm
• Use of the Pavilion
• Doughnuts and cider for each child
• View the animals at our animal farm
• Play in the Hay Maze
• Tour takes about one hour
• Paid school staff can pick the same amount of apples as the children without charge
• Coloring Book for each child
• Cost per person $4.00 (minimum 15 paying people per reservation.)

Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your tour start time. We require one chaperone for every five children.
